The Village Board approved the UTV/ATV and golf cart ordinance at tonight’s meeting. However, the ordinance will not take effect immediately. The village needs time to install appropriate signage and provide education to ensure the safe operation of these vehicles within our community.
Until this process is complete, it will remain illegal to operate UTVs, ATVs, or golf carts on village roads. Staff estimate it will take approximately two weeks to one month to acquire and install the necessary signage and develop educational materials. The Village will also need to obtain final approval from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to be able to cross the bridge within the village.
Links to the ordinance can be found in the "Residents" tab on the village website and are also included below.
The Board has also approved a new ordinance allowing residents to raise chickens or ducks within the village. You can find links to the ordinance under the "Residents" tab on the village website, as well as in the link below. Permits will be available starting September 1st, as staff undergo training on the updated requirements for keeping fowl in the village.
